Application and Systems Administrator

On behalf of Our client, a major corporate professional association located in Toronto, we are recruiting for an application and system support specialist to provide a range of administrative and support services related to corporate applications, reporting and network Systems.

This role is integral in the development, implementation and support of systems and web applications that enable core processes, including but not limited to the accounting system, Office 365, corporate CRM, Learning Management systems and special web-based projects. In addition, this individual will assist with the development and deployment of key reports and dashboards using tools like Excel, Crystal and Access. This role ensures content, functionality, quality, and presentation support the objectives and priorities of the ICD. The incumbent serves as the technical resource to projects for these applications, but also plays a vital role in providing advice and technical support for projects and initiatives.

Key deliverables
  • Administration, support and reporting of corporate CRM application
  • IT Project support for projects such as application upgrades, integration, security, and Network maintenance
  • Data and database work to support the business and end-users with relevant reporting and information access needs.
  • Code databases to deploy business rules on the databases, e.g., MS SQL Server, MySQL
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems and new integrations
  • Resolve issues related to the implementation of web applications and systems integrations, including but not limited to bugs, design flaws, outages, accessibility, and compliance
  • Create custom scripts and plan periodic maintenance procedures for service maintenance
    • Coordinate escalation of issues with internal and external IT support groups and vendors (where applicable); report on operational issues and problem resolution activities to clients and senior management
Additional Responsibilities include backup support for:
  • Server maintenance
  • Employee hardware and software, network services, Wi-Fi
  • The organizations IT related systems
Skills/Experience:
  • MCSE or similar certification
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Working knowledge of key software platforms is preferrable: Visual Basic, MS Office Suite, Kentico, iMIS
  • Familiarity with database administration, SQL or database design
  • Microsoft Windows System Administration
  • Microsoft Office 365 service and administration
  • IP network management and understanding and working knowledge of networking and related protocols, services, technologies and concepts
  • Software development skills (e.g. PHP, HTML, PowerShell)
  • Preferred experience with: PC, tablet, smartphone troubleshooting skills (Apple IOS, Google Android and Microsoft Win Mobile, etc.)
This is a permanent/full time role and is hybrid, with the office location in downtown Toronto
