We are recruiting for a Senior IT Administrator for a strong growing company, will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and administration of the organization’s computer systems and network infrastructure. The role will also be responsible for identifying, developing and creating appropriate procedure and policy to develop global best practices and consistency, improve security and efficiency an address security concerns.  This is a growth role with an opportunity to move into an IT Lead/Manager role.
Essential Functions
  • Oversee the company’s IT infrastructure and ensure the overall maintenance and administration of the organizational overall computer systems and network infrastructure.
  • Responsible for analyzing and resolving technical problems for established networks.
  • Recommend network solutions for short-, medium-, and long-range network projects.
  • Install, configure and maintain network components
  • Day-to-day maintenance and support of computer systems and networks
  • Configuration of Windows (XP,7) workstations within an AD Domain
  • Troubleshoot and support Cisco Unity Server – VOIP telephony and Unity Voice Messaging
  • Assist with PC installation, maintenance, E-mail administration, and disk capacity monitoring and network security.
  • Install and maintain network hardware and software.
  • Install new users.
  • Install new applications.
  • Perform system backups and data recovery.
  • Resolve network communication problems.
Other Duties as assigned
  • Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ direct experience
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP Networks/WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, Windows 2003 Servers
  • Experience in the installation of hardware and software
  • Working knowledge of Cisco Routers/Switches would be an asset
  • Good working knowledge of networks and network terminology
  • Experience within an IT environment; Citrix Servers, BES, Exchange 2007, Windows 2003 Server, Cisco
  • IP Phone/Messaging would be desirable
  • Proactive & willingness to adapt and learn new skills and technologies
  • Must be able to set priorities and be flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Dynamic, professional, team-oriented, self-motivated individual
