We are recruiting for a Project Consultant for a Global Leader in the Industry with experience in implementing Grid Control Systems who will  for manage the delivery and implementation of Grid Control  software Solutions for Canadian utilities.

It is a senior level position requiring deep market knowledge and technical experience in utility grid control systems.  This is a customer facing role that requires the skill set and personality necessary for lengthy customer bilingual technical interaction (French & English).  The PM will be responsible for managing the scope of contracting and implementation of Grid Control software. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently managing a project team and tasks
  • Developing and tracking to a project budget and target dates
  • Customer facing leadership and direct account management
  • Effectively managing all project communications, including formal project reporting processes as required by both the client and the company. 
  • Providing the correct inputs to and supporting the invoice process such that billing is effective, timely and fair from both client and the company perspectives.
  • Providing a channel for inquiries and problem resolution between the client and the company
  • Writing, analyzing and obtaining the proper levels of approval for all contractual changes and/or requirements during the course of the engagement (Change Requests, SOWs, Enhancements)
  • Identifying and managing both risks and issues in a timely manner
  • Adhering to and enforcing the company project processes and methodologies
  • Providing leadership to the combined team of company and client representatives as required, to manage all company issues and deliverables.
  • Participate in and proactively pursue various company initiatives including:
  • Self-training on company solutions
  • Process and methodology development and improvement
  • Project Management skills development and improvement
Qualifications & Expectations:
• Minimum of 10 years of domain experience in the utility control center market space delivering control systems for utilities.
• Bilingual French, English.
• Experience in managing in a matrixed team environment without direct leadership role
• Experience with SOW contract writing, negotiations and scope control
• Experience with MS Project or equivalent tools in setup and implementation of large scale projects.
• Primarily based in Montreal, may require occasional travel to our US office.
• Requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively work with a wide variety of customers and internal stakeholders.
• Requires leadership characteristics evidenced by clear and concise communications (verbal and written), a positive attitude. Proven ability to work independently.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
