Overview
We are recruiting for a Network Operations Consultant for this world leading Energy and Utilities Consulting Company where  you will develop and implement process improvements and net new business capabilities enabling smart grid technologies to achieve desired business objectives. 
The core responsibilities of a Network Operations Consultant are to create a strategic development plan for the Digitalization of the Electrical Grid Operations, educate team members on goals, objectives and scope of the Network Operations Domain as well as ensuring deliverables meet program requirements and quality expectations.  Preference may be given to candidates located or willing to relocate in select locations in New-Brunswick, Ontario and Manitoba.
Responsibilities
  • Achieve program objectives while providing consultation to electricity utility executives
  • Lead a portfolio of projects within established scope, schedule and budget
  • Support the financial analysis and modeling of project benefits to support customer justification
  • Manage program or project workload and productivity
  • Identify program/project scope changes and prospective new projects, leading customer engagement
  • Contribute to improve ongoing activities to support process implementation
  • Document business process design artifacts
 
Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related business fields
  • Experience with the systems and requirements of a Grid Control Center in a digitalized environment
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in delivering consultancy services or in a Solutions Engineering position
  • Knowledge of the Electricity Utility Sector, Smart Grid and Smart Grid technologies is an asset
  • Experience with business process modeling (e.g. BPMN)
  • Strong background in the application of technology solutions such as Outage Management systems, Distribution Management Systems, GIS and SCADA
  • Experience with business transformation program delivery is preferred
  • Experience in designing solutions in the utility industry involving smart grid technologies will be considered an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Additional languages of French/ German/ Spanish will be considered an asset
  • Available for frequent domestic and some international travel
