We are recruiting for a Sales Executive for one of Canada’s most exciting growing companies which launched in the UK, with offices in Canada, Australia & the USA.  This company's launched a new service and solution that gives consumers a voice, and helps merchants to listen and respond effectively to their customers feedback.

The role requires a talented and experienced sales executive who can source, manage and contract opportunities for the company.  
Ideally, a successful candidate has a background in retail and/or hospitality, as they will be key sectors as we build our market presence. Having the knowledge of how these organizations make decisions, key
 
operational metrics, and how they drive change will help accelerate opportunities to contract with these customers. The Sales Executive has to be able to ensure that businesses are excited about the value we provide, ease them through integration and operational queries and drive momentum through the sales cycle. Their aim is to make rapid progress with household name brands and this role is critical to delivering this.
 

Key responsibilities

  • Managing and owning Canadian merchant sales – working with the management team to create a target list of merchants, identifying decision-makers, making calls, setting up meetings and preparing targeted pitch presentations and demos;
  • Supporting Canadian Corporate sales – working with the management team to create a target list of large customer-facing businesses, identifying decision-makers, making calls, setting up meetings and preparing targeted pitch presentations and demos;
  • Sales Support & Marketing – Supporting the Management team in the national marketing strategy to increase client acquisition and retention.
  • Supporting 3rd party pitches – Helping to provide partners with helpful slides and data for their own pitches (e.g. when they might present the company as an added-value service available with their payment system)
  • Product development – feeding in to product development, taking on feedback from customers and prospects to adapt and improve our service to merchants, including the website navigation, sign-up process and data dashboard/ reports
  • Key account management – working with the Merchant Services and Data team to carefully manage/oversee all accounts, ensuring they experience a smooth onboarding and billing process, account set-up and management of their data dashboard, reports and consumer profile page – this will be key to ensuring positive word-of-mouth, positive PR case studies and contract renewals.

  • The ability to integrate into our energetic and hugely dedicated team.
  • At least 3 years’ experience of sales in both the SME and corporate sector.
  • Strong consultative sales and presentation skills, including the ability to establish and maintain client and partner relationships.
  • An outstanding ability to communicate to all levels of decision makers.
  • A passion and drive for achieving success and building a business from the ground up.
  • The confidence to speak about the company externally – whether doing research in stores, providing training to shop staff or briefing customers/prospects.
  • The drive to respond quickly to commercially critical business requirements.
  • The passion, enthusiasm and attention-to-detail to deliver the highest standard of work, with a drive to be part of a startup team.
  • Native/fluent English and basic understanding of the Canadian retail/hospitality sector.

  • Previous experience working within the Merchant Services industry is advantageous but not essential.
